Tesla Receives Approval for Seven EV Variants in India

Tesla has received approval for three more vehicles in India. Earlier, this year Tesla received homologation certificates for four car models and now with three more car models being approved, it has a total of seven vehicles approved in India. The name of the Tesla cars which are approved by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways is still not announced. Model 3s and Model Ys are two of the models which are assumed to be the approved car models.

Tesla has also filed a request for the reduction of import duties on the import of its vehicles in India by 40 percent at the least. But, the governing officials in India have said that it is not possible for a single company to receive such specific incentives.
