Societe Generale sells 7.1 Million HDFC shares

Societe Generale disposed of approximately Rs 1,730 of the Housing Development Finance Corp (HDFC) stake on Tuesday through a public market transaction.

According to BSE block trading data, Societe Generale sold approximately 71 lakh shares at an average price of Rs 2,436.8 per share. The total transaction amount was Rs 1,729.67 per piece. 

Through another transaction, BNP Paribas Arbitrage bought shares from HDFC at the same price. At BSE, HDFC's share was slightly higher, closing at Rs 2,454.05 per share.
