Sensex Opening Bell: On the final day of futures trading, the local stock market started off strongly. Early on Thursday, the Sensex increased by 248.36 points to 59,792.32, while the Nifty increased by 115.05 points to 17,779.15. Shares of HDFC increased by 2% in early Thursday trading, while Gland Pharma shares decreased by 3%.
On Thursday morning, the domestic market received encouraging signals from the international market. The findings show that domestic institutional investors (DIIs) are still optimistic while foreign institutional investors (FIIs) are still neutral. The SGX Nifty gained 101 points on Thursday, closing at 17914. This raised expectations of a positive start in the Indian market.
Japan's Nikkei also fell slightly, while the Kospi rose 1.50 percent. U.S. markets also traded normally. The Dow Jones has strengthened 350 points over the past two days. The Nasdaq is under pressure. The S&P 500 broke down 0.74 percent. Crude oil has jumped above $96 a barrel.
