News Synopsis

Students in their second year of college or above are eligible to participate in a Microsoft-led collaborative Virtual Internship Programme. Between 2022 and 2024, 1.5 lakh college graduates are projected to enter the labour sector. Under the proposal, NASSCOM, the All India Council for Technical Education, and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) will create a holistic skilling platform. Both AICTE and NASSCOM will verify that relevant courses meet the National Occupational Standards to ensure curriculum conformity with the 2020 National Education Policy. Students will now get access to the best development tools thanks to the GitHub Student Programming Pack. Through Microsoft's Future Ready Talent initiative, students may show their digital talents by completing critical projects and learning from industry specialists. Applications for internships can be done by registering in open batches on the official website. The registration will begin on September 15, 2021.
