Maharashtra's Economy Expected to Grow by 12.1 %

According to Maharashtra’s Economic survey report released yesterday, It is predicted that the state’s economy will rise by 12.1% in 2021-22. A growth of 4.4 percent will also be recorded in agriculture and related activities. A growth of 11.9 percent in Industries and 13.5 percent growth in the services sector will be recorded. The state economic survey report was presented in the state legislature. Also, it further predicted a three percent increase in the agricultural sector, growth of 6.9 percent in livestock, 7.2 percent in forestry and logging, and 1.6 percent in the growth in fisheries and aquaculture. The economic survey also informed that the state’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for 2021-22 will be Rs 31,97,782 crore, and per capita income will be Rs 1,93,121 in 2021-22, compared to Rs 1,96,100 in 2019-20. According to budget estimates revenues for 2021-22 were estimated to be Rs 3,68,987 crore, up from Rs 2,89,498 crore in 2020-21. Ttax and non-tax revenue in 2021-22 are Rs 2,85,534 crore and Rs 83,453 crore, respectively.
