BSE MD, CEO Ashish Kumar Chauhan Resigns

Ashishkumar Chauhan quits from his position as the Managing Director as well as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and was removed from his duties and responsibilities as the exchange's CEO according to the bourse.
Chauhan is joining the the rival National Stock Exchange (NSE) as its Managing Director, Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Chauhan was part the original team of NSE however, he left the organization in 2000 to take on various positions within the Reliance Industries group, before returning to the stock exchange market as the deputy CEO of BSE in 2009 and as CEO in 2012.
BSE has already started the process of finding the next chief to take over in place that of Chauhan. In the meantime BSE's board BSE has agreed it would be appointing an executive-management committee to the exchange will take over the running of the business until the selection of the new CEO and MD as stated in an regulatory filing for the NSE this morning. The executive management team comprises Neeraj Kulshrestha - Chief Regulation Chief Officer Nayan Mehta Chief Financial Officer Kersi Tavadia, Chief Information Officer Sameer Patil, Chief Business Officer, and Girish Joshi, Chief Listing Sales and Trading Operations.
Chauhan is now free of his responsibilities and roles at BSE beginning July 25th, 2022, the company announced. In BSE, Chauhan is acknowledged for bringing back its revenue, and helping to make it the fastest exchange in the world that has a 6 microsecond response time. He brought trading on stocks via mobile to India and expanded into new markets like equity, commodity and currency derivatives. SME and startups as well as mutual funds and insurance distribution spot markets and power trading.
