Elon Musk Reportedly Wants to launch a new Twitter Product called 'X'
News Synopsis
The New York Times reported that Elon Musk plans to launch a mysterious new product named "X.” It said that the product "X" is estimated to be launched in the year 2023 and hopefully within the first year of launch it will bring in 9 million users.
Tesla CEO predicted that 104 million users would subscribe to the product by the year 2028. Product X is one of the several ideas of the world’s richest man who plans to significantly increase the revenue of the leading micro-blogging platform and at the same time increase its user base as well. However, the billionaire has earlier claimed that he doesn't care about the economics of buying the social media company "at all."
The Chief Executive of Tesla has earlier stated some changes he intends to make to the social media platform if his $44 billion purchase is approved. Among them are an edit button and an ad-free version of Twitter. The New York Times further informed that Elon Musk described a "payments business" that he estimates would generate a revenue of $15 million by the year 2023.
Both Musk and Twitter co-founder and former CEO Jack Dorsey have experience in digital payments, with Musk being one of the original co-founders of PayPal and Dorsey currently, is the CEO of Square (now called Block).
