Uttar Pradesh’s First Smog Tower Becomes Functional

The very first anti-smog tower of Uttar Pradesh became operational this Wednesday. This tower is 20 meters in height and can filter the air within one square kilometer. It came into existence with the joint efforts of the Noida authority and Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited. (BHEL).
Mr. Narendra Nath Pandey the Union Minister of heavy industry inaugurated this tower for the environment in the presence of minister Krishna Pal, Gautam Buddh Nagar MP Mahesh Sharma, Noida MLA Pankaj Singh, and Noida Authority CEO Ritu Maheshwari.
“Air pollution is a big problem during the winters. If an implementation of this tower is successful, the authority may also install anti-smog towers at other locations in the city,” said a Noida authority official.
