Samsung Knox Matrix Released, A Security System Based On Blockchain
News Synopsis
In an attempt to increase the security of its smart devices, Samsung has announced the launch of a private blockchain system. This system, known as Knox Matrix, is advertised as Samsung's redesign of its current security settings. All Samsung home devices will have their login processes organized by the Knox Matrix solution as they are connected to the network. In the meantime, the security system will also protect the private data that is being shared through other smart devices.
All of the devices linked to the same network will share login information according to the Samsung Knox Matrix, which will also protect the devices from unauthorised access.
“Samsung Knox Matrix will function as a user’s own private blockchain system, wherein your connected devices enhance security through multi-layered mutual monitoring. Whether your Samsung devices are based on Android, Tizen, or other OS, Samsung Knox Matrix will be able to provide a unified security SDK,”, the South Korean giant stated in an official statement.
Samsung will standardize its device security measures by adopting this blockchain security system.
“With Samsung Knox Matrix, we envision that users need not compromise on their connectivity in order to stay protected. Samsung Knox Matrix is set to provide the devices within a user’s ecosystem with fewer vulnerabilities through strong, diverse security practices,” the company said in a statement.
The company has not yet provided extensive details on how this security system operates or is dependent on a blockchain. Recently, Samsung has taken a number of activities related to the Web3 space to test the waters.
Since the release of the Galaxy S10, Samsung has enabled support for the holding of Tron (TRX), TRC, ERC, and BTC tokens in its Blockchain Wallet.
The tech company also makes Decentralized Apps (dApps) available to Galaxy users, which use blockchain technology to authenticate the exchange of digital assets.
