News Synopsis

Royal Enfield has officially introduced the Flying Flea C6 in India, marking a significant milestone for the company as it enters the electric motorcycle segment. The launch of the Flying Flea C6 also heralds the debut of Royal Enfield’s newly created Flying Flea sub-brand, which is focused on electric mobility. In collaboration with Spanish electric motorcycle manufacturer Stark Future SL, Royal Enfield aims to develop a new lineup of electric motorcycles.

The Flying Flea C6, also known as the FF.C6, is the first model built on the brand-new "L" platform, which will be the foundation for Royal Enfield’s future electric models.

The design of the C6 draws heavy inspiration from the original Flying Flea, a historically significant Royal Enfield motorcycle used during World War II. Set for launch in 2026, the Flying Flea C6 is expected to be priced around Rs 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Following its debut, the company plans to expand the Flying Flea lineup with additional models, including the S6 scrambler and possibly an electric variant of the Himalayan.

Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6: Design and Aesthetics

The Flying Flea C6 carries forward a distinctive vintage roadster aesthetic reminiscent of its World War II-era predecessor. It features a classic round LED headlamp, complemented by circular LED indicators, adding to its retro charm. One of the standout design elements is the girder fork, a rare feature in modern motorcycles.

The bike sports a compact, teardrop-shaped fuel tank along with a sculpted single-piece seat. An additional rear seat can be attached, much like the configuration seen on the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650. The battery pack is smartly housed beneath the tank and includes cooling fins for efficient heat dissipation. The rear section maintains a minimalist yet refined look, with integrated indicators, a reinforced rear fender, and a fender-mounted taillight.

Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6: Features and Technology

The Flying Flea C6 is packed with modern technology while maintaining a vintage appeal. The bike features a 3.5-inch TFT instrument panel, providing riders with real-time data such as speed, battery charge level, estimated range, odometer readings, and trip details. A Qualcomm Snapdragon QWM2290 processor powers the system, offering 4G, Bluetooth, and WiFi connectivity.

Other notable features include:

  • Lean-sensitive ABS for enhanced braking safety

  • Multiple riding modes to optimize performance under different conditions

  • Cruise control for a more comfortable riding experience

  • Over-the-air (OTA) software updates ensuring the bike stays up-to-date

  • Keyless ignition for added convenience

  • Traction control for improved stability

  • Emergency safety switch located on the tank for quick shutdown in case of emergencies

Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6: Performance and Hardware

While Royal Enfield has not disclosed detailed specifications of the battery and electric motor, the company has confirmed that the battery will be enclosed in a magnesium casing and will feature a belt-driven system for efficient power transmission. The estimated range of the Flying Flea C6 is around 100 km per charge, making it a practical option for urban commuting.

The bike is designed to be lightweight, with the company aiming to keep its weight close to 100 kg. This ensures better handling and agility on the road.

For suspension, the Flying Flea C6 is equipped with:

  • A girder fork setup at the front, providing a vintage-inspired yet functional ride experience

  • A monoshock at the rear, enhancing overall comfort and stability

Braking is managed by disc brakes on both wheels, likely paired with dual-channel ABS for improved safety and better braking performance.

The Flying Flea C6 rides on lightweight 19-inch alloy wheels fitted with tubeless Ceat tires. The front tire measures 90-section, ensuring good road grip and maneuverability. The bike delivers power to the rear wheel through a chain drive system, a reliable setup that complements its retro-modern appeal.

Royal Enfield’s Electric Future: What’s Next?

Royal Enfield’s partnership with Stark Future SL signals the brand’s commitment to entering the electric vehicle (EV) market with a strong lineup. The Flying Flea C6 is just the beginning, with future models such as the S6 scrambler and a potential electric Himalayan expected to join the lineup. The company aims to leverage its rich heritage while embracing innovation to cater to modern riders.

With the Flying Flea C6 set to launch in 2026, Royal Enfield is taking a bold step in shaping the future of electric mobility while preserving its legacy. The blend of vintage design, cutting-edge technology, and sustainable electric power makes the Flying Flea C6 a highly anticipated addition to the motorcycle market.
