In this incident which is good enough to put a big smile on people's faces, a pain puri vendor who has his stall etched on the local street has been making headlines for the best thing anybody has done in recent times. This is one of the most modern efforts to diminish gender discrimination in Indian society since its prevalence has gone too far. The vendor whose sweet gesture has touched the hearts of Indian citizens hails from Madhya Pradesh, Bhopal. He distributed free pain puri to customers on the weekend. The vendor informed everyone that his wife gave birth to a girl on August 17. His happiness was quite evident. Though netizens reacted to him in indignation, he made a smart move to prove his point which is not really bad.  In the past few days, there had been a surge in the crimes against women. If this 28-year-old street vendor can bring about a  positive change in society, then with the power of positivity, a lot of people can be influenced and embrace conceiving of the girl child.
