Latin NCAP Results for the Volkswagen Taigun

The made-in-India Volkswagen Taigun offers robust safety features, including six airbags and Electronic Stability Control (ESC), as standard in the Latin American markets.

The SUV excelled in the Latin NCAP tests, achieving an impressive 92.47 percent rating for adult occupant safety, 91.84 percent for child occupant safety, 55.14 percent for pedestrian protection and vulnerable road users, and 83.28 percent for safety assist.

The comprehensive testing involved assessments of frontal impact, side impact, side pole impact, whiplash, pedestrian protection, Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) for both city and interurban scenarios, Speed Assist, and ESC.

Latin NCAP noted that all the standard and tested equipment demonstrated exceptional performance, leading to the Taigun's well-deserved five-star rating.

Volkswagen India's Response to the Safety Achievement

Piyush Arora, Managing Director and CEO of Skoda Auto Volkswagen India, expressed his pride in the safety track record of vehicles built on the MQB A0-IN platform. Regarding the Volkswagen Taigun's 5-star rating, Arora stated, "The 5-star rating earned by the Volkswagen Taigun comes close on the heels of a similar 5-star Latin NCAP rating for the Volkswagen Virtus."

He further added, "In fact, all our INDIA 2.0 models – Volkswagen Taigun, Volkswagen Virtus, Škoda Kushaq, and Škoda Slavia – have received the prestigious Global NCAP 5-star ratings for both adult and child occupant protection, making them the safest made-in-India cars. We remain committed to providing Indian buyers with the highest quality products that are on par with global market standards."

Reinforcing Commitment to Passenger Safety

The achievement of a 5-star safety rating in Latin NCAP for the made-in-India Volkswagen Taigun underscores the brand's unwavering dedication to passenger safety.
