Instagram Chief, Adam Mosseri calls for Teen Protection

Instagram Chief Adam Mosseri has called lawmakers in the USA for help in regulating the platform. He made the remark during a senate hearing about the harmful impacts of social media on teenagers. He asked for the regulations for the operation of social media platforms.

He said in his statement that he wants the teens to feel safe and to stay safe while they use social networking site. He also talked about how everything today is online and is operated through the internet so it is important to raise the standards for better service and to protect the younger generation. The Instagram chief has asked to set up industry-wide standards for these types of apps including age verification and parental control.
