Indian Couple Hosts Wedding Reception in Metaverse

A project associate at IIT Madras has decided to collaborate with Polygon and mixed reality company Tardivaerse to build his own little virtual world based on the Harry Potter universe. 

The individual built the concept to host his wedding reception in Metaverse. He tweeted the invitation to appear virtually in the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The guests can simply join the even with a regular web browser. 

It is not the first time for a wedding to be held in the metaverse. On December 10, 2021, the New York Times reported about Traci and Dave Gagnon who also hosted their wedding in the metaverse.
