Honda City e:HEV launched in India

Japanese automobile manufacturer Honda Motors has unveiled Honda City e: HEV in India. It is scheduled to be launched in the month of May this year. This Sedan has an intelligent Multi-Mode Drive (i-MMD) hybrid powertrain. It gets its power from a petrol engine and two motors. It features dual-tone interiors. The instrument panel has been given a gloss dark wood finish. It also has an electric parking brake along with an auto-hold function. On the outside, it features a mesh-like grille and body-colored trunk lip spoiler.
The hybrid variant of City comes with 16-inch alloy wheels. It is equipped with a self-charging Lithium-ion battery type. The electric motor is an AC Synchronous (Permanent Magnet) type. It comes along with an inline 4-cylinder Atkinson cycle i-VTEC DOHC engine. The combined power it will churn out with this engine and two electric motors stands at 108 bhp and 253Nm of torque. Recently, Takuya Tsumua took charge as the President and the CEO of the automobile company. It also announced its March sales. It did not perform that well in last month’s sale. Its sales in March 2022 decreased by 7% compared to March 2021 sales.
