During FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, Hisense Technology Ensures Smooth Traffic
News Synopsis
Doha, the capital of Qatar, made the decision to improve its transportation system by utilizing data and AI technologies to handle the massive traffic flow during the approaching FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM in November. Hisense, a company with more than 20 years of experience in the field of intelligent transportation, assists Doha in establishing a pilot project for intelligent transportation. Based on GPS trajectory and real-time video tracking functions, the project will be finished and put into operation prior to the start of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM to ensure safe, effective traffic and minimize polluting emissions during the games.
Since it first entered the market in 1998, Hisense has taken part in a number of key projects and has recently become China's top company in the intelligent transportation sector. Hisense and the government of Ethiopia's capital Addis Abeba formally joined forces in March to develop an intelligent bus system, which is scheduled to be finished in 21 months. Through mobile applications and digital information displays, citizens can access the real-time bus schedule with this technology. In addition, the system enables public transportation companies to implement real-time monitoring, remote control, and intelligent dispatch, analyse the match between passenger flow and transport capacity, allocate resources, and monitor maintenance—all of which lay the foundation for future scientific decision-making.
At the heart of Jakarta's smart city transportation, the CSW bus terminal, Hisense presented a 252-inch LED screen that shows real-time traffic and timetable information to make travelling more comfortable for passengers. South Africa, West Africa, Dubai, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Slovenia, and Serbia are just a few of the places where Hisense intelligent transportation has expanded as of late.
