The Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, held from January 17-22, is India’s largest mobility showcase. The event brings together the entire mobility ecosystem, including automobile manufacturers, component producers, electronics suppliers, energy storage developers, and recyclers.

Spanning three iconic venues—Bharat Mandapam, Yashobhoomi in New Delhi, and the India Expo Center and Mart in Greater Noida—the expo aims to foster innovation and sustainability in the automotive industry.

Inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the event on January 17, accompanied by Union Ministers and industry leaders. The expo is expected to feature over 100 launches across vehicles, components, and technologies, highlighting India’s advancements in sustainable and future mobility.

Maruti Suzuki eVITARA: India’s First Strategic Global EV

Maruti Suzuki unveiled its highly anticipated eVITARA, the company’s first global battery electric vehicle. It comes with two battery options—49kWh and 61kWh—offering a driving range of 500 kilometers. With an investment exceeding ₹2,100 crore, the eVITARA will be manufactured in India and exported to over 100 countries, underscoring Maruti’s commitment to electric mobility.

Honda Activa e: Affordable Electric Scooters

Honda introduced its new electric scooters, the Activa e: and QC1. The base model is priced at ₹1.17 lakh, while the premium RoadSync Duo variant costs ₹1.52 lakh. Honda also offers a Care Plus Package, which includes a five-year maintenance contract, roadside assistance, and an extended warranty.

Porsche’s High-End EVs: Macan BEV and Taycan

Porsche launched its luxury electric SUV, the Macan BEV, priced between ₹1.22 crore and ₹1.69 crore. Additionally, the updated Taycan sport saloon, available in trims ranging from ₹1.89 crore to ₹2.53 crore, promises a premium EV experience for the Indian market.

Hyundai’s Creta Electric: Affordable EV Innovation

Hyundai introduced the Creta Electric at an aggressive starting price of ₹17.99 lakh. With its six variants priced between ₹15 lakh and ₹25 lakh, the Creta Electric is set to revolutionize India’s EV market. This launch builds on the success of the Creta, which has sold over 1.1 million units since its debut in 2015.

BMW X1 Long Wheelbase All Electric: Locally Manufactured Luxury

BMW unveiled its first locally-produced EV, the X1 Long Wheelbase All Electric, priced at ₹49 lakh. Manufactured at the BMW Group plant in Chennai, the premium SUV highlights BMW’s focus on catering to India’s growing EV demand. Bookings are now open at dealerships nationwide.

Mercedes-Benz’s Luxury EV Range

Mercedes-Benz launched the EQS Maybach SUV 680 'Night Series,' priced at ₹2.63 crore, alongside the Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 'Night Series,' starting at ₹3.71 crore. The brand also showcased the Concept CLA Class, an all-new electric platform, and a variety of premium models at its ‘Arena of Desire’ pavilion.
