On July 7, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accompanied by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, inaugurated the Ayodhya-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express. This train, consisting of eight coaches, will connect Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, to Gorakhpur, the former Lok Sabha constituency of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
The train holds significance as it will also make a stop at the Ayodhya Railway Station, a place of religious importance for Hindus.

Ayodhya, known as the birthplace of Lord Ram, is a prominent religious site for Hindu pilgrims. With the recent construction of the grand Maryada Purshottam Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, the city is expected to witness an increase in visitors.

The Ayodhya-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express is a part of the Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat route. As per the IRCTC schedule, the train will operate six days a week, excluding Saturdays.
The train will depart from Ayodhya at 8:15 AM and reach Lucknow at 10:20 AM, following its scheduled stops. For the return journey, the train will depart from Lucknow at 7:15 PM, reach Ayodhya City at 9:13 PM, and finally arrive at Gorakhpur Junction at 11:25 PM.
Seamless Travel with the Ayodhya-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express
The Ayodhya-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express offers a non-stop service between the two cities. The approximately two-hour journey will commence from Gorakhpur Junction, with stops in Basti and Ayodhya City, before proceeding directly to Lucknow. Similarly, on the return journey, the train will depart from Lucknow and reach Ayodhya station without any intermediate stops.
Fare Details and Passenger Comfort
The Ayodhya-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express is equipped with seven chair cars and one executive-class coach, accommodating a total of 556 passengers. The fare for a chair car seat is Rs 610, while an executive-class seat is priced at Rs 1,210 for the journey from Lucknow to Ayodhya.
Passengers will be provided with meals, snacks, and tea by the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC). The chair car fare remains the same for the Ayodhya-Lucknow route, while the executive class is priced at Rs 1,110, offering passengers a comfortable and convenient travel experience.
With the Ayodhya-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express, travelers can now enjoy efficient connectivity and a seamless journey between Ayodhya and Lucknow.
