Anand Mahindra Calls Ram Charan The RRR Actor A 'Global Star'

After the global success of his film RRR, South star Ram Charan has received attention and praise from all over the world. Anand Mahindra, Chairman of Mahindra Group, called the actor a "global star" in one of these posts of appreciation.

On Saturday (February 25), Mahindra posted on Twitter and shared a clip from Ram Charan's interview on Good Morning America, a US-based chat show. The businessman captioned it, "This man is a Global Star. Period. #NaatuNaatu @AlwaysRamCharan."

The show's hosts are seen in the video being taken aback by the size of the US crowd gathered outside the studio to congratulate the South star on the success of RRR.

Ram Charan responded to the tweet, saying, "Thank you so much Sir! It's India's time now to shine in every field and form."

Previously, Mahindra posted a video of himself and Ram Charan dancing to the beat of Naatu Naatu at the Hyderabad ePrix. In the video, the actor is barefoot as he demonstrates the steps to Mahindra, who carefully executes them. Following their embrace, the two mingle with the other dignitaries in attendance at the ceremony.

Regarding RRR's global success

RRR recently won four awards at the Hollywood Critics Association Awards and is now rooting for its song Naatu Naatu to win an Oscar in the Original Song category. Applause from Tell IT Like a Woman, Hold My Hand from Top Gun: Maverick, This is Life from Everything Everywhere All At Once, and Lift Me Up from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever are the other nominees.

RRR previously won awards at the Critics' Choice and Golden Globes.

The award ceremony will be held on March 12 at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood.
