On the list of the top 10 richest women in the world as of 2023, she is rated 48th overall and 18th among Americans. She is also the Virginian with the highest degree of wealth. As President of the Food Product Group, she joined Mars, Inc. in 1982 and left the company in 2001.

10. Yang Huiyan: $22.4 billion

China's Guangzhou is where Yang Huiyan was born in 1981. She is a property developer and one of the top 10 richest women in the world. She owns the majority of Country Garden Holdings' shares. She was formerly Asia's richest woman in the world in 2023.

Her father founded Country Garden Holdings, a real estate company, in 1997. Prior to Country Garden Holdings' 2007 initial public offering, his father Yang Guoqiang gave Yang Huiyan 70% of the specific shares. Yang Huiyan is thought to be worth $22.4 billion.
