News Synopsis

Users of Google Meet can now give participants, including those on the Calendar guest list, access to the content they are presenting in a meeting. This is a new feature that Google is introducing to its video-communication service "Google Meet."

According to the tech giant in a Workspace Updates blog post, users can share a file while giving a presentation by using the floating action menu or by making a suggestion in the Meet Chat.

By enabling sharing directly from Meet, users may quickly share presented content without having to navigate to another window to grant permission, which is a useful new feature.

According to Google, this makes it simpler for meeting participants to follow along with your presentation, locate and reference your materials later, and carry out the remaining meeting action items.

The company also disclosed that customers will be "prompted with the file access dialogue" anytime they paste a link into the meeting chat. Users can then select to attach the file to the calendar event and modify access as necessary.

The tech giant had earlier this month said that it will be introducing a new feature that would enable users to read their speaker notes while presenting Google Slides in Google Meet. To display their speaker notes during the meeting, users only need to click the new speaker notes button in the Slides controls bar in Meet.
