News Synopsis
Meta released a haptic feedback glove on Tuesday. The gloves allowed Mark Zuckerberg to play Jenga in virtual reality. After the release of the gloves, a startup called HaptX has claimed that the tech used to make the gloves is identical to its own tech.
HaptX was founded in 2012 and builds haptic feedback tech mostly used for VR. The startup created gigantic robot hands in 2019 which were controllable with the help of a pair of gloves. The founder of Amazon Jeff Bezos tried the technology at a convention in 2019 and appreciated how the tech was made.
Meta has not released any statement now about it now.
