Maruti Suzuki Swift CNG: Engine Specifications

The Swift CNG is powered by the familiar 1.2-litre 3-cylinder Z Series naturally aspirated petrol engine, producing 69 bhp at 5700 rpm and 101.8 Nm of torque at 2900 rpm. This engine is coupled with a 5-speed manual transmission. Maruti Suzuki claims that the Swift CNG offers an impressive mileage of 32.85 km/kg, making it one of the most fuel-efficient hatchbacks in its segment. This new model boasts a 6% improvement in fuel efficiency compared to the previous generation.

Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer of Marketing and Sales at Maruti Suzuki India Limited, stated, “Every third vehicle is CNG and CNG accounts for 33 per cent of total sales so far in FY25.” He further announced that deliveries of the Swift CNG are set to commence from September 14, beginning in Gujarat. Banerjee added, “In FY 24, Maruti Suzuki sold 4.77 lakh CNG vehicles and is targeting 6 lakh units in FY25.”

The Swift CNG comes equipped with a host of features designed to enhance comfort and safety. These include six airbags, an Electronic Stability Program+, Hill Hold Assist, automatic climate control, a rear AC vent, a wireless charger, 60:40 split rear seats, and a 7-inch infotainment system with connected technology.
