Income Tax Return, ITR Filing Deadlines extended

The Individual Tax Return (ITR) submission date has been extended. The Central Board for Direct Taxes took taxpayers' and other stakeholders' concerns seriously (CBDT). The deadlines for submitting ITRs and various audit reports for the Assessment Year 2021-22 have been moved back. The due date for filing the Income Tax Return for the Assessment Year 2021-22 has been extended from September 30, 2021, to December 31, 2021. The date has also been extended for people participating in international transactions or certain domestic transactions to submit a report from an accountant to January 15, 2022, under section 92E of the Act for the Financial Year 2020-21.
