News Synopsis

Hero MotoCorp has become a very prominent face at EICMA over the past few years. The largest Indian two-wheeler manufacturer has come to the ongoing annual motorcycle exhibition this year with big hopes of making Hero a truly global brand. The company has introduced four new products that will soon be added to its lineup for India and international markets.

1. Vida Z electric scooter

The first product to be introduced by Hero at EICMA was the latest electric scooter to be introduced under the Vida brand, called the Vida Z. The images show a very unique design, which is different from the existing range of Vida scooters, the V1 Plus and the V1 Pro. Powering the Vida Z is a permanent magnet synchronous motor that draws power from a wide range of removable battery options ranging from 2.2 kWh to 4.4 kWh.

While Hero hasn't yet revealed any specifics for the Vida Z such as the power and torque output from the motor or the range on a single charge, that said, the new e-scooter will come loaded with all the modern gizmos such as a touch-enabled TFT instrument display that comes with a wide range of connectivity options that allow geofencing, vehicle health monitoring and over the air updates.

2. Hero Xpulse 210

Hero MotoCorp has introduced the new-generation Xpulse, which gets a new engine and some new hardware. In its latest avatar, the Xpulse gets the same 210cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor that powers the Karizma XMR 210. This motor produces 24.5 bhp and 20.4 Nm of peak torque in the adventure tourer. Transmission duties will be carried out by a 6-speed gearbox with slipper and assist clutch.

The new Xpulse 210 features fully adjustable upside-down front forks and a rear monoshock with travel of 210mm and 205mm respectively. Other key highlights include a 4.2-inch TFT instrument console, switchable ABS modes and 210mm ground clearance. Like its predecessor, the new Xpulse will also be available with an optional rally kit for hardcore off-road activities.

3. Hero Xtreme 250R

Based on the 2.5R Xtunt concept bike showcased at EICMA 2023 and then at World Hero Day in early 2024, the new Xtreme 250R is the flagship in the Xtreme range. It is powered by an all-new 250cc liquid-cooled DOHC engine that produces 29 bhp and 25 Nm of peak torque. The naked streetfighter gets a 6-speed gearbox with slip and assist clutch. This motorcycle can accelerate from 0 to 60 kmph in just 3.25 seconds.

4. Hero Karizma XMR 250

Hero relaunched the Karizma brand of sports tourers with the new Karizma XMR 210 in August last year. Now the company has expanded the range with the Karizma XMR 250 based on the same base as the Xtreme 250R. So it is powered by the same new 250cc liquid-cooled DOHC engine, which produces 29 bhp and 25 Nm of peak torque. The naked streetfighter gets a 6-speed gearbox with slip and assist clutch.
