To help promote the United Nations 2030 objectives, including eradicating extreme poverty, protecting the earth, and attaining gender equality. The seven-member K-pop band addressed the stage for a sustainability event. We previously learned that President Moon Jae In of South Korea granted BTS ambassadorial passports and access to represent South Korea at the UN. This is not the first time they will be representing their country at the UN. However, this time they appeared as the "special presidential envoy for future generations and cultures."

BTS spoke in the United Nations General Assembly's 76th session, which addressed issues like climate change, poverty, and inequality. Adolescents' opinions on the COVID-19 issue and climate change initiatives were presented by all members of the band. They said that the epidemic was influencing the perspectives of the younger generation on their future careers. The young generation, who spent their time learning new things during the pandemic and sharpening their skills, Jimin, a member of the group, showed signs of anxiety as he tripped over his words while discussing how young people are coping up with the pandemic. This was the third time they have been at the UN, after visits in 2018 and 2020.
