The Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi, has said that he wants to restore the nuclear deal with Iran. In the televised news conference, the director-general also said that the agency is also working towards continuing the discussion with the government of Iran.
The statement comes at a time when discussions between world powers and Islamic republics are about to begin on certain issues. Earlier, the International Atomic Energy Agency submitted a report on the nuclear deal with Iran.
Rafael Grossi met the Iranian Foreign minister Hossein Amirabdollahian for the first time. The Iranian foreign minister urged the IAEA to continue to cooperate with Iran in its technical duties and has also asked to avoid any type of political position.
