According to the sources, Reliance Industries may make an official announcement on Wednesday, June 30 to make Isha Ambani the chairman of the retail unit.

Let us tell you that Isha Ambani is currently holding the position of Director in Reliance Retail Ventures Limited. On the other hand, an official of the company has directly refused to comment on this whole matter. Reliance Jio and Reliance Retail are subsidiary companies of Reliance Industries. Let us tell you that the market value of Reliance Industries is more than $217 billion.

Isha Ambani is 30 years old and she has done higher education from Yale University. Isha Ambani and Akash Ambani are both twin siblings. On Tuesday, Akash Ambani has been given the responsibility of the telecom business of Reliance Group. Akash has been appointed as the new chairman of the country's largest telecom company Reliance Jio.

Reliance is experiencing crucial changes at the top level. The conglomerate has shifted away from its legacy Oil Refining Business and Petrochemicals Business and is now diversifying into e-commerce, green energy, and expanding its retail presence across the country. Technology venture Jio Platforms Ltd. was able to attract more than $25 billion in funding from prominent Silicon Valley investors like Meta Platforms Inc., Google, and others. It also revealed ambitious plans to compete with Amazon.com Inc. within the country, including streaming.

Both Akash and Isha were prominent directors in these units before their elevation. When Meta, a Menlo Park-based company, decided to invest nearly $6 billion in Jio Platforms, they were part of the teams that negotiated with Meta. In recent years, the twins presented new products at annual shareholders meetings and displayed various technology applications like virtual reality. Their father credits his children for helping him get into the internet business
