The popularity of Electric Vehicles has increased significantly in the past few years leading to an increase in demand as well. Not to fall behind in the growing EV industry, Mahindra has revealed its first electric SUV. The anticipated SUV will be based on XUV 300. Though several car manufacturers have released many battery-powered models to choose from at the global platform, it is not the same in India with only a handful of car companies offering electric vehicles such as Jaguar, Hyundai, MG Motors, TATA Motors. The biggest challenge which is obstructing the growth of electric vehicles in India is their exorbitant prices. Currently, only Tata motors Co. is offering affordable electric vehicles in India such as Nexon EV, Tigor EV, etc. Now with this new release SUV from Mahindra, the competition is going to become bitter in the coming and it can be expected that these cars become more affordable to the masses.
