iQOO has confirmed the much-awaited specifications for the iQOO 13 smartphone ahead of its launch in India, scheduled for December 3, 2024. This new flagship model brings high-end features, including a powerful chipset, advanced gaming technology, and impressive imaging capabilities. While the Indian variant largely mirrors the Chinese version, there are a few notable differences, such as a slightly smaller battery size. Here’s an overview of the iQOO 13's key specifications for the Indian market.
The iQOO 13 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, a flagship processor that promises top-tier performance. This powerful chip ensures smooth gaming experiences and enhanced multitasking. Additionally, the device will feature the Supercomputing Chip Q2, which supports advanced gaming technologies like 2K Game Super Resolution for graphic upscaling, and 144 fps game frame interpolation for pushing games beyond the default frame rates. The phone will also have a dedicated vapour chamber cooling system to maintain optimal temperature performance during intense gaming sessions.
The iQOO 13 will feature a 2K resolution AMOLED display, ensuring vibrant and sharp visuals for users. The 6.78-inch display supports a 144Hz refresh rate for ultra-smooth scrolling and gameplay. In addition, it comes equipped with LTPO technology for dynamic refresh rate adjustments, which enhances battery efficiency by automatically adjusting the refresh rate based on the content being viewed. The combination of these features makes the iQOO 13's display perfect for gaming, media consumption, and general use.
The iQOO 13's camera setup is another highlight, with the smartphone featuring a 50MP primary camera powered by the Sony IMX 921 sensor, delivering stunning clarity and detail. The rear camera system is complemented by a 50MP ultra-wide sensor and a 50MP telephoto lens, allowing for versatile photography options, from wide-angle shots to detailed zoom capabilities. On the front, the smartphone boasts a 32MP selfie camera, perfect for high-quality self-portraits and video calls.
The iQOO 13 Indian variant will come with a 6000mAh battery, providing ample power for extended use throughout the day. It supports 120W wired fast charging, ensuring quick recharges and minimal downtime. In comparison to the Chinese model, the Indian variant will feature a slightly smaller battery, as the Chinese version is equipped with a 6150mAh battery. Despite the reduction in size, the iQOO 13 still offers impressive battery life and charging speeds.
On the design front, the iQOO 13 brings an eye-catching aesthetic with its “Monster Halo” lighting effect around the camera module. This dynamic lighting feature not only adds a stylish flair to the phone but also serves as a notification indicator for calls, messages, and charging status. The smartphone will be available in two attractive color options: the Nardo Grey, inspired by Italian racetracks, and the Legend Edition, which features the iconic tri-colour stripe of BMW Motorsport.
The iQOO 13 will run on Android 15-based operating system and is set to receive 4 years of software updates and 5 years of security patches, ensuring long-term software support. The phone will be protected by IP68/IP69 rating, offering excellent dust and water resistance for added durability.
