Hyundai IONIQ 5 EV Has Flagged Off The “8 Wonder Exploration” In India

The iconic IONIQ 5 EV from Hyundai Motor India Ltd. (HMIL) has led to the start of the "8 Wonder Exploration" drive. The drive was launched at the corporate office of HMIL in Gurgaon, Haryana. The drive will cover the wonders of India, as the title suggests. Given that India only has seven natural wonders, why is this initiative dubbed the "8 Wonder Exploration" drive? Hyundai will refer to the IONIQ 5 as the "eighth wonder" after it completes the drive in a record-breaking amount of time.

Mr. Unsoo Kim, MD & CEO, Hyundai Motor India Ltd., commented on the 8 Wonder exploration drive by saying,  “Hyundai has been leading the charge across the spectrum of Technology and Innovation at a global scale. Today, we are witnessing a seamless amalgamation of technology and architecture that has come a long way with iconic wonders standing testament to the might of Human Imagination. Hyundai has also been working tirelessly to create such an icon that will truly revolutionize the EV landscape, as an ever-green engineering marvel. Today, I am glad to flag off the 8 Wonder exploration by Hyundai IONIQ 5.”

The Hyundai IONIQ 5 will set out on its journey from the corporate headquarters of Hyundai Motor India in Gurugram, Haryana, to see the Wonders of India.

7 WONDERS OF INDIA are:

Golden Temple (Punjab)

Taj Mahal (Uttar Pradesh)

Temples of Khajuraho (Madhya Pradesh)

Ancient Ruins of Nalanda (Bihar)

Konark Sun Temple (Odisha)

Hampi (Karnataka)

Gomteshwara Statue (Karnataka)

This journey includes a record attempt in addition to exploring the seven wonders of an electric vehicle. In order to make this trip the  “FASTEST EV DRIVE COVERING THE 7 WONDERS OF INDIA”  HMIL will submit an application to the India Book of Records. It will also achieve this feat as the first electric automobile.
