According to Counterpoint Research's Quarterly Mobile Application Tracker, the active user base of the Indian lockscreen platform Glance increased by 30% year on year to reach 183 million in the first quarter of 2022.
Glance gained over 10 million users at the same time. Glance is the lock screen platform used by smartphone players such as Xiaomi (including Poco), Samsung, OPPO, Vivo, and realme, which account for more than three-fourths of the Indian smartphone market, according to the press release.

With increasing digitalization, both content creation and consumption are accelerating. Glance's lock screen content platform enables seamless content discovery with the first touch of the smartphone. It caters to the specific interests of smartphone users from various demographics by providing a diverse range of multilingual content in sports, current affairs, fashion, travel, food, commerce, and entertainment.

Glance, which has operations in India, Indonesia, and parts of Southeast Asia, is concentrating its efforts on both existing and new markets. In addition to its existing partnerships with Xiaomi, Vivo, and oppo, Glance has announced several collaboration projects with key Indonesian brands, publishers, and creators as part of its 'Indonesia First' strategy.
