Demand for Ice Creams increased in India

As people look for slight relief amidst severe heatwaves and rising temperatures, Consumer companies are witnessing a high demand for ice cream and cold beverages.

A spokesperson for Mother Dairy

informed that its milk-based ice creams and dairy-based beverages have registered an increase of 50% in sales ‘on account of early summers and subsequent rise in temperatures, enhanced number of distribution assets coupled with the opening up of restaurants, offices, educational institutions, etc.’

The popular dairy company in India is hopeful that this summer, with the current trends, it would likely add a further number in its sales and is going to be ‘one of the best seasons for the ice cream and cold beverages industry.’

The spokesperson of the company, in a statement, said, “This season, we are introducing 10 new variants of ice creams in order to keep our consumers excited and the highlight for this season is our shahi kulfi range wherein we are introducing four new royal Indian flavors namely Phirni, Paan, Malai and Pista. The offtake of dairy-based beverages is also being witnessed across all channels with thirst-quenching products such as chaach (buttermilk) and lassi (buttermilk) leading the pack.”

Milkshake and ice cream brand Keventers also witnessed its highest ever sales during the hot months of the year.
