Wherever an expressway shall go, it shall take a road of development along with it, and an expressway connecting the national capital with the financial capital of the country shall be quite an upgrade. News has emerged that an expressway between Delhi and Mumbai will generate revenue worth 1000-1500 crore every month once it gets fully operational for the public in 2023.
An interestingly developed road map for the expressway shows that it shall pass through four states across the country, namely Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Haryana. The expressway is said to be an eight-lane structure with multiple facilities, bound to reduce the travel time between the two major Indian cities to about 13 hours.
Since it is an ambitious project, the government has been accused of being very expensive but the government claims it will be productive and beneficial. As the pandemic has outstretched the economy, such world-class infrastructure investment programs will strengthen the economy to bounce back.
