During his daylong visit to Uttar Pradesh on Friday, Governmental Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah will invest more than Rs 4,567 crore in infrastructure improvements and a Music School.
At an event held at Fasaiya Gram Sabha in Kaushambi District, Uttar Pradesh, in the afternoon on Friday, the Home Minister will lay the Foundation for Several Development Projects and open the Kaushambi Festival-2023 to kick off his day.
In the evening, Shah will also lay the foundation for the Hariharpur Sangeet Mahavidyalaya and launch a number of construction projects totaling Rs 4,567 crore in the Namdarpur Area of Uttar Pradesh's Azamgarh.
Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, is also expected at Hariharpur, Azamgarh, where the home minister will lay the Foundation for the Music College.
Yogi Adityanath had promised to create a music college in the village during his visit there in August of last year. The college will be linked to Bhatkhande University in Lucknow.
The village of Hariharpur, around 5 km from Azamgarh, is famous for its centuries-old music history, where young kids learn musical notes before the alphabet and play with musical instruments as toys.
It has been shown that even a child under the age of five knows the words "Sur" and "Raaga." They naturally excel in folk music because every home has instruments like the harmonium, sarangi, tabla, sitar, dholak, and mridang.
