Gautam Adani's company Adani Group has tied up with French company TotalEnergies to produce carbon-free fuel. With this, Gautam Adani, one of the biggest industrialists in the country, will now prepare carbon-free fuel in India.
According to media reports, the French energy company will buy about a 25% stake in Gautam Adani's Green Hydrogen Enterprises to create the world's largest green hydrogen ecosystem. France's TotalEnergies will invest over $50 billion in Gautam Adani's green hydrogen venture over the next 10 years.
Adani Group issued a statement saying that we have entered into a new partnership with a French firm to jointly build the world's largest green hydrogen ecosystem. The amount of the deal was not given in this statement. The French company said in its statement that TotalEnergies has entered into an agreement with Adani Enterprises Limited to acquire a 25% stake in ANIL.
For your information, let us tell you that ANIL will be the exclusive platform between AEL and TotalEnergies for the production and commercialization of Green Hydrogen in India. In this regard, TotalEnergies said that ANIL has set a target of producing one million metric tonnes of green hydrogen every year by 2030.
Commenting on the deal, Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, said that the strategic importance of the Adani-TotalEnergies relationship is very high at the level of business strategic importance and at the level of ambition.
