All '90s youngsters often find themselves nostalgically recalling the music that defined their upbringing in crystal clarity. The majority of these singers have vanished into obscurity. We are only obliged to think of the age before Billie Eilish and Justin Bieber took our interest when these '90s pop singers offered us Bollywood chartbusters, at a time when our music business is largely churning out remakes and remixes. #TWN

One day a person asked, “If you ever got a chance to meet one of your favorite childhood singers, who would it be?” Surprisingly, I was not able to decide which of the singers from the 90s I would meet. Well, it’s not that I am weak at making decisions; the problem was there were so many great singers in the 90s that it was tough to make a decision. While I was thinking about it, I realized that just like me, there would be many 90s kids who will be missing their favorite singers from the 90s, and Gen–Z would not be even aware of these legends. Hence, I decided to take deep dive into the memory lane and created a list of forgotten artists, for my fellow 90s kid. I have covered the musical maestros from the 90s in this article and will cover artists from every field in my upcoming articles, but for now, stop whatever you are doing and grab a handkerchief to wipe your tears, as today I will bring back the memories. Some of these singers would have helped you to recover from a breakup, while others would have helped you to become the life of the party, and some of them would have just cheered you up when you were down. Trust me, these singers have saved many people from falling into depression and have even prevented people from taking away their own life. Are you ready? Let’s get started:

Forgotten Old Famous Artists Of The Music Industry

1. Ricky Martin

Nowadays, Ricky Martin has become a family man. Along with his husband, Jwan Yosef has welcomed his fourth child into his family. They already had twins and a daughter, and now their family has been extended. But in the 90s, Ricky Martin was the source of mood upliftment. His song Livin La Vida Loca is an evergreen song and can lighten up your mood even in the most drowning situations. His other songs, Nobody Wants to Be Lonely, Shake Your Bon-Bon, and María can make even the grumpiest old man smile. In 2021, Ricky Martin went on a world tour with Enrique Iglesias. He may not have those crazy fans that he used to have in the nineties, but he is still doing pretty well in his career.

2. Enrique Iglesias

Now that we have mentioned the name of this legend, let’s take a look at his musical career. Enrique was probably the only reason why we all tried to learn Spanish, his songs like Escape, Rhythm Divine to Bailamos, Enrique has won our hearts every time, and Tonight I am Loving You was probably the first video that we all enjoyed but with fear. Those who know they know which fear I am talking about, I have already told you what Enrique is doing nowadays, and if you follow him on Instagram, you must be having all the updates as he is very active on Instagram.

3. Akon

Smack that, all on the floor.” I know you still vibe on this song and who doesn't, Akon was one of the most celebrated singers of all time. Akon was one of those singers who poured their heart out while singing, but where is; he Right now na na na na? Akon is currently moving forward with plans to establish a $6 billion sustainable smart city in Senegal, which will be called Akon City. Akon said the 2,000-acre future-oriented metropolis would include a luxury resort, condos, offices, a hospital, a stadium, and an artificial-intelligence data center.

4. Micheal Jackson

The legend, the revolution Micheal Jackson was one of the most popular singers, songwriters, dancers, and whatnot. Micheal Jackson is called the “King Of Pop,” and for a good reason. People would often faint when they saw them live, and the stadiums always got stuffed when it was the concert of The Micheal Jackson. Although all his work was great, he will be best remembered for his “Smooth Criminal” song he won a total of 13 grammies in his career

And was nominated for 38. Unfortunately, we lost him in 2009, but he will always be a part of our playlists, and kids will still try to copy his unique dance style and his moon-walk.

5. Vanilla Ice

According to their Biography, Vanilla Ice is no longer active in the music industry. Instead, he is currently living in Florida, where he previously lived with his ex-wife Laura and two daughters, Dusti Rain and KeeLee. Although he is not so active today in the 90s, he was a fan favorite, his works like Ice Ice Baby and Ride the horse are the songs that made everyone dance in the 90s.

Forgotten Female Artists

Natalie Imbruglia

Natalie Imbruglia came into the scene with 'Torn,' which was a cover of the original Ednaswap tune. Nevertheless, 'Torn' managed to make Australian Imbruglia an international superstar and launched her debut album, 1997's 'Left of the Middle,' into the No. 1 spot on the charts. Although the singer was famous worldwide, her second and third albums, 'White Lillies Island' and 'Counting Down the Days,' failed to achieve the success which was achieved by her first album. Today she features in films and other short videos.

Alanis Morissette

Alanis Morrisette saw superstardom with the overwhelming success of her debut album, 'Jagged Little Pill.' The album, which gave such hits as 'You Oughta Know' (supposedly was a tribute to her ex-boyfriend and 'Full House' star Dave Coulier), 'Ironic' and 'Head Over Feet,' won her a whopping four Grammy Awards in 1996. Even today, she does not fails to release several doses of her albums and has also acted here and there.
