When it comes to running or starting a business, let's be honest. 2020 has been a challenging year, perhaps the most difficult I've seen since the early 1980s. To be honest, I don't believe the years 2021 and beyond will be any easier than they are today. Even if the virus is destroyed, things do not appear to be returning to normal. #ThinkWithNiche

To begin, we must acknowledge that 2021 is more of a "re-think" and "reset" than a "re-start." Continuing to do things the same way they've always been done is futile. For most small firms, relying on "Word of mouth" or passing commerce, for example, will not enough.

Re-think

When was the last time you took a step back and examined your business from top to bottom? Have you ever looked at your firm from the bottom up? Every business owner must pay attention to some questions listed below: -The basics of your company. First and foremost, 

  • Why are you operating a business?

  • What are your objectives?

  • Is my company running smoothly?

  • Are your prices fair (to both you and your customer)?

  • Is your company self-managing and valuable?

  • What would happen if you took a month off from work and then returned?

  • Are you devoting too much time to your business or overworking yourself?

  • Do you have a timetable for working on your business?

Reset 

After you've spent some time re-evaluating your business, it's time to reset. Examine your list of unresolved questions. What would you do differently this time if you had to start from scratch? Successful business owners do not continue to do things the same way they have always done because it is no longer working. Covid-19's destruction on the high street, for example, will not have gone ignored if you run a normal shop that relies on passing trade and a few generic Ads in the local paper. You've probably decided to establish a "click and collect" service, which is a fantastic concept. To create additional income, you'll need to develop new tactics for getting your marketing messaging in front of potential customers. A social media plan or pay-per-click advertising on Google or Bing may be required to achieve this goal. It's possible that it's a direct mail campaign. You'll need a range of lead creation tactics to be successful.

 Re-start  

Following your "reset," the next step is to "restart." This is when "rubber meets the road." Business executives frequently excel at "rethinking and resetting" strategy but struggle with "re-starting." As a result, new habits and working techniques are frequently necessary, which may look strange and uncomfortable at first. It's all too simple to fall back into old patterns. The following are five techniques for making new behaviours stick:

Commit To a 30-Day Plan

It takes three to four weeks for a behaviour to become routine. Getting beyond the early conditioning stage makes it much easier to keep the habit going. A month is a good time commitment since it fits perfectly into your calendar.

When it Comes To Creating A Habit,

consistency is essential. If you want to start working out consistently, go to the gym every day for the first thirty days. If you just go once or twice a week, it will be more difficult to become a routine. Activities you do once or twice a week are more difficult to develop into habits than things you do on a daily basis. A few messages here and there won't cut it when it comes to marketing; you must be consistent and persistent.

Don't Strive To Transform Your Company In A Single Day

When you're not prepared, it's easy to become too motivated and take on too much work. Finally, you will give in to the "overwhelm" and submit. Get some early wins, and you'll be encouraged to keep improving.

Remind Yourself

It's easy to forget after two weeks. Set reminders on your phone to remind you to perform your habit every day, otherwise, you may miss a few days. Missing time undermines the objective of developing a habit.

Be Consistent

The easier it will be to maintain your habit in the future if you are consistent with it. It could take a while for you to notice the effects of some modifications. It'll help if you're consistent. Cutting and modifying is a poor method in this scenario.
