Maruti Suzuki Attained The 50 Lakh Sales Mark In Rural Markets

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd reported today that its total sales in rural areas have reached 50 lakh. The country's best-selling carmaker claims that approximately 40% of its overall sales come from rural markets and has over 1,700 customised outlets in rural areas of the nation. In a number of rural markets, the company has also launched its premium sales network, NEXA showrooms.
Above and above the sales touchpoints, MSIL has established over 4,000 service touchpoints, including 235 "Service-on-Wheels" to give after-sales care to its customers. MSIL also has India's largest rural network. Also, the corporation employs Resident Dealer Sales Executives (RDSE), who have received particular training to comprehend local consumers' needs and uphold interpersonal relationships.
Rural markets only made up about 10% of Maruti Suzuki's overall sales during FY2008–2009. In FY10-11, there was a rise of over 100%. Following this, there was a consistent rise each year, with rural markets accounting for 40.9% of Maruti's overall sales in India.
Shashank Srivastava, Senior Executive Director, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, stated that Maruti Suzuki adopted the philosophy of "Go Local" with 12,500 specially trained dealership staff members known as Resident Dealer Sales Executives who are familiar with the local culture and traditions to meet the expectations of these customers.
