Dhoni Becomes Brand Ambassador of Garuda Aerospace

Cricket player Mahendra Singh Dhoni has become the new brand ambassador of Drone startup Garuda Aerospace, the company announced on Monday. The cricketer will also be one of their shareholders, he added. Dhoni said in a statement, “I look forward to witnessing their growth story with the unique drone solutions they have to offer.”

A Chennai-based startup recently announced that it will support agriculture. The company said in April that it was working on a model to sell drones to village-level entrepreneurs and pesticide and fertilizer retailers.

Agnishwar Jayaprakash, CEO of Garuda Aerospace, is an enthusiastic fan of Dhoni and says, "To be honest, making him part of the Garuda Aerospace family is a dream come true."

In February, Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated a drone production facility of Garuda Aerospace in Manesar in Gurgaon and Chennai. Garuda Aerospace is one of four drone startups selected by online grocery delivery service Swiggy for a pilot project to carry out delivery trips for grocery delivery service Instamart.
