The Bullet Train Project is Picking Up Pace.
With the change of government in Maharashtra, the pace of work on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project has accelerated.
The land acquisition dispute is expected to be resolved soon.
Recently, 1.2 hectares of additional land in Palghar have been acquired in the last 10 days alone.
High-speed rail project, was announced in September 2017.
The total cost was estimated to be Rs.1.1 lakh crore when the project was announced.
90.56 percent of the required land for the entire project has been acquired.
The National High-Speed Rail Corporation Ltd has taken the responsibility for the construction of the project.
The bullet train stations will be situated at Bandra-Kurla Complex in Mumbai, Thane, Virar, Boisor, Vadodara, Ahmedabad and Sabarmati
The construction is likely to be completed by 2027.
The train would complete the journey in 2 hours and 7 minutes.
